MyKaroo

MyKaroo and Next Direction Marketing Form Alliance
for the Organic Food IndustryALBANY, Calif. (August 24, 2007) - MyKaroo, the free Internet service that provides a unique page of content and user-generated comments next to every website in the world, announced today that it has formed an alliance with Next Direction Marketing, a California advertising agency with deep roots in the organic food industry. Next Direction Marketing will act as an agent for MyKaroo within this industry. "Although MyKaroo offers users a separate webpage next to every website in the world, the MyKaroo page is not controlled by the primary website," explained Barry Smiler, CEO of MyKaroo. "This allows users to freely comment on the primary website and offer their own opinions." Mr. Smiler further stated that this feature is of interest within the organic food industry as a way for consumers and organic food producers to come together to discuss food products in a space that is completely independent of external influences, yet directly adjacent to the topic of conversation.
One of the projects planned for MyKaroo by Next Direction Marketing will be for MyKaroo to display organic food ratings next to the primary websites advertising these products. Consumers will be able to read manufacturer's claims about products, and then look up the rankings of these products directly on the MyKaroo page next to the primary website. Consumers will also be able to post their own opinions and read the opinions of others.
Next Direction Marketing will also have a role in the forthcoming MyKaroo weekly radio program which is currently under development. The agency will provide introductions to people and organizations who might be interviewed on the new radio show, and as an ad agency they will also be instrumental in finding advertisers for the radio show and for MyKaroo itself.
