Bardon Data Systems Announces MyKaroo
ALBANY, Calif. (September 12, 2006) - Bardon Data Systems is developing MyKaroo, a free service that will put an independent blog-style comments page next to every website in the world. With MyKaroo installed, whenever you go to any website, its parallel MyKaroo comments page will appear as well, in a separate window next to the browser showing the actual website. It's an automatic process that will stay in sync with your browsing. Go to another website and its MyKaroo content window will be automatically displayed.
Users will be able to go to any website and see what other people have posted about that site. Go to your next website and the MyKaroo window instantly updates itself to show new comments. It's like a blog that's always in sync with what you're looking at.
"MyKaroo will create a social network as big as the Internet itself," said MyKaroo CEO Barry Smiler. "Since a MyKaroo page will not be under the control of the parallel website, it will be the ultimate internet free speech network."
Free and Independent
MyKaroo will be a free, independent, fully opt-in system that gives every website in the world a blog-style comments page that comes up while viewing that site. But MyKaroo will be completely independent of that site's management, so the MyKaroo page won't be under their control.
System Requirements
Initially, MyKaroo will be available for Microsoft Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox. These two browsers cover over 98% of all current web usage. MyKaroo can be used on virtually any operating system, including Linux, Solaris, Windows, and Macintosh. Support for other browsers and platforms will be added following the product's full release.
Pricing
MyKaroo will be a free service, supported by advertising. Advertisers will be able to place ads that can be displayed on the MyKaroo page for any website in the world. The underlying website will have no control over the ads that are displayed on that site's parallel MyKaroo page.
